Museo de Leymebamba

The Leymebamba Museum, inaugurated in June 2000, houses more than 200 mummies and different archaeological pieces such as decorated mats, ceramics, bamboo containers, woven bags, earmuffs, wooden combs, cotton cloaks, quipus and others, which were recovered in 1997 from the Laguna de los Cóndores by the NGO Centro Mallqui.

Its construction was possible thanks to the financial contribution from a group of Austrian citizens and other private donations.
